This book is a new edition of the highly successfulLehr- und Übungsbuch der deutschen Grammatik,first published in 1985. It is intended for lower-intermediate and intermediate learners of German who want to acquire a solid, coherent knowledge of German grammar. It offers simple, sometimes simplified rules with extensive examples, lists and tables for reference, and a large number of exercises. For the new edition, the rules and explanations have been broken down into smaller steps, and the exercises assigned to these individual steps more precisely. Some simple exercises have been added to sections dealing with elementary grammar.
