loginMany hydrologic analyses use unit hydrograph synthesisto predict rainfall runoff from a watershed. Sincemeasured stream flow/rainfall data for a particular pointof analysis is rarely available, a fundamental part ofthe development of a runoff hydrograph is the use of asynthetic unit hydrograph such as the SCS (USDA,1985)or Clark (1945) unit hydrographs. Both of these unithydrograph methods (as well as most others) require theestimation of a time of concentration or lag time.
