loginThe articles brought together in this volume are all concerned in oneway or another with Aristotle’s practical side, i.e., his moral psychology, his ethical and political thought, and his writings on rhetorical persua-sion. The articles number twenty-four and were written over more thanfour decades. Each has benefited from the helpful criticism of somecolleague, interested scholar or anonymous referee. I cannot begin tothank all these individuals by name; indeed, in the case of an anony-mous referee, the identity of the individual remains unknown. But Ican say up front, that without considerable help by many different per-sons, my work would never have developed as it has. I am grateful andhope that in the following years, however many they may be, I canmake a return by assisting younger colleagues and scholars working onPeripatetic subjects.
