loginThe primary purpose of the Test of SpokenEnglish (TSE®) is to measure the ability ofnonnative speakers of English to communicateorally in a North American English context. TheTSE test is delivered in a semidirect format,which maintains reliability and validity whilecontrolling for the subjective variables associatedwith direct interviewing. Because it is a test ofgeneral oral language ability, the TSE test isappropriate for examinees regardless of nativelanguage, type of educational training, or field ofemployment.
